What it is
Powder Wax Cloud 20g is a matte styling powder for instant volume, dry texture and strong hold. It works by adding grip at the roots: the hair stands up, holds its shape and can be reworked with your fingers all day without adding more product. No shine, no weight, nothing greasy, which is why it suits fine or flat hair that a wax would drag down.
How to use Powder Wax Cloud
- Dry hair only. Powder on damp hair turns to paste. Blow-dry first, roughly in the direction you want the style to sit.
- Tap, don't pour. Turn the bottle over and tap the base once or twice over the roots at the front and crown. You want a light dusting, not a line.
- Rub it in. Massage the powder into the roots with your fingertips until you cannot see it. That is when the grip switches on.
- Style with your hands. Push the hair up and back or forward; it will hold where you put it. Rework as needed through the day.
- Build, don't dump. If you need more hold, add a second light tap. Too much at once is what makes it feel tacky and look white.
Powder vs wax: which do you need?
- Powder Wax Cloud: volume and matte texture with a natural finish. Best on fine, flat or short-to-medium hair. Reworkable.
- Aqua Hair Wax: strong hold with shine for slick, structured styles. Better on thick or coarse hair that needs to be held down rather than lifted up.
- Clay Wax or Fiber Matte Wax: matte like the powder, but with more hold and definition through the lengths. The middle ground for medium hair.
- Powder plus wax: the barber combination. Powder at the roots for lift, a little clay or fiber wax through the ends for definition, and Ultra Hold spray if it has to last a wedding.
Mistakes we see
- Using it on greasy or wet hair. It clumps. Wash and dry first.
- Applying through the lengths. It is a root product. Lengths get dry and rough.
- Expecting shine. It is matte by design. Want gloss? That is aqua wax.
- Not washing it out. It builds up. A normal shampoo removes it; a clarifying shampoo once a week if you use it daily.
