MRD Pro sells four clipper blades and three trimmer blades, and the names (Crunch, Echo, Faper, Hybrid, Diamond Cut) do not say which tool they fit or what they change. Here is the map, from a supplier that sells them every week.
Clipper blades
- Crunch/Echo Blade. The debulking blade, known for the audible crunch on every stroke. Deep teeth take bulk fast and it is the blade most barbers put on for the first pass through thick hair. Our best-selling MRD blade.
- Faper/Hybrid Blade. Fade plus taper in one geometry: a hybrid blade that handles both the close work at the bottom of a fade and the taper above it without a blade change. The all-rounder.
- Diamond Cut Blade. The precision blade, built to glide over the skin without snagging. For close, controlled work and sensitive clients.
All three fit the MRD Pro clippers (Smart Brain, Vector, X-Pro, Ultimate X, Cyborg Track, Precision and Uranus). Check the model on your clipper before ordering; the blade listings show which they cover.
Trimmer blades
- Smart Brain Trimmer Blade, black and gold: the 360-degree skeleton blades for the Smart Brain and X-Pro trimmers, matched to the trimmer's colour.
- Replacement Trimmer Blade: the standard blade for the Vector and Ultimate X trimmers.
Shaver

Most barbers keep the Crunch/Echo on the clipper they use for bulk and the Faper/Hybrid on the one they fade with. Home users with one clipper should run the Faper/Hybrid.
The small parts
The replacement power switch fits MRD Pro and Gamma+ tools and is the cheapest repair in the shop; a clipper that turns itself off usually needs this, not a new clipper. Charging connectors are on the MRD Pro Charging Connectors page.
Make the blade last
- Brush the hair out after every client.
- Oil the blade at the start and end of the day; a dry blade dulls in weeks.
- Zero-gap only as far as the blade allows and check the alignment after every change.
- Replace when the clipper starts pulling or leaving lines it did not leave before.
