Replacement blades and foils are the most-bought BaBylissPRO items in our store, and the most-returned, because the part numbers look alike. This is the plain-English map of which blade fits which trimmer, which foil fits which shaver, and what the tooth spacing means.
First: find the model number
Every BaBylissPRO tool has an FX model number on the body or the label under it. The Skeleton trimmers are the FX787 family; the FoilFX02 shavers, the UVFoil and the FXOne each take their own head. Match the part to the number, not to the colour, because colour is only a finish.
Trimmer blades for the Skeleton (FX787) trimmers
All of these fit the FX787 Skeleton trimmers, in every colour. The choice is tooth style and coating.
- Gold T-Blade 2.0mm Deep Tooth: the standard blade on the RedFX and WhiteFX Outliner trimmers. Deep tooth means more hair through the blade per pass, which suits beards and bulkier edge work.
- Graphite 2.0mm Deep Tooth: the same deep-tooth geometry in a graphite finish.
- DLC T-Blade 2.0mm Deep Tooth: the deep-tooth blade with a diamond-like carbon coating that runs cooler and stays sharp longer. The upgrade for busy stations.
- Outliner Blade Gold FX707Z: the fine-tooth outlining blade for crisp lines and detail.
- Outliner Blade Graphite FX707B: the same fine-tooth blade in black graphite PVD.
Rule of thumb: fine tooth for lines, deep tooth for bulk. Many barbers keep one of each and swap.
Shaver foils and cutters
- FoilFX02 shavers: GoldFX head, SilverFX head or RoseFX head. Same part, matched to your shaver's finish.
- UVFoil shaver: the UVFoil Double replacement head.
- FXOne shaver: the FXOne replacement foil and cutter.
Replace the foil when it develops a shine spot or the shave starts pulling; on a busy station that is every few months.
Keep the blade you have cutting longer
