1. Using the site
You must be 18 or older to place an order. You agree to use the site lawfully and not to interfere with it, copy it, or use it to harm others. We may refuse service, cancel orders or close accounts where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or breach of these terms. We may update these terms at any time by posting the revised version here; continued use after that is acceptance of the change.
2. Products, pricing and availability
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise. Shipping is charged as shown at checkout. We try to keep product information, images and stock levels accurate, but errors happen; if we discover an error in the price or description of something you've ordered, we'll contact you and give you the choice to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. Salon furniture and large equipment is freighted separately and quoted per order before payment.
3. Orders and payment
Your order is an offer to buy. It's accepted when we send your dispatch confirmation. We may cancel an order before dispatch (for example, if stock is unavailable or payment can't be verified); if we do, we refund in full. Payment is taken at checkout through the methods shown. Trade accounts are subject to approval and any credit terms we agree in writing.
4. Delivery
Delivery times, costs and options are set out in our Shipping & Delivery page and are estimates only. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you gave us. Parcels are sent with safe drop enabled; we are not responsible for parcels lost or stolen after confirmed delivery to that address.
5. Returns, refunds and consumer guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage; you are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. In addition, we accept change-of-mind returns within 30 days of delivery on unused, unopened products in original packaging, as set out in our Returns & Refunds page.
6. Professional products
Some products we sell (hair colour, bleach, developers, chemical treatments, waxing products and professional electrical tools) are intended for use by trained professionals or according to the manufacturer's directions. Read and follow the instructions and safety information supplied with the product, including any patch or strand test. We are not liable for loss or injury caused by use contrary to the manufacturer's directions, to the extent permitted by law.
7. Warranties on electrical goods
Electrical appliances carry the manufacturer's warranty in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Warranty periods and conditions vary by brand; contact us before returning a faulty appliance and we'll direct you to the fastest route.
8. Promotions and discount codes
Promotional prices, discount codes and free-shipping thresholds apply only for the stated period and conditions, cannot be applied retrospectively and cannot be combined unless we say so. We may withdraw a promotion at any time.
9. Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your account login confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us straight away if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.
10. Intellectual property
The content of this site, including text, images, logos and our own brand names (MV, Kerasmooth, DELOFIL, LEADERHAIR), is owned by us or licensed to us and may not be reproduced without written permission. Third-party brand names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used to identify genuine products we stock.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any other claim arising from the site or a product is limited, at our option, to replacing or repairing the product or refunding its price, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
12. Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
